about us
Background
Ubuntu grew from a testimonial by Esther Mujawayo in April 2004. Ms Mujawayo's courage and persistence inspired a group of people to take action.
These individuals are committed to providing and creating awareness among as many people as possible about the importance of improving the living conditions of the women and children who were victims of the Rwandan genocide.
Our objectives
Aiming to achieve long term self-sufficiency, Ubuntu’s main objectives are:
- To relieve poverty by operating food banks
- To relieve poverty by funding small businesses and micro-cooperatives
- To strive for the education of the children
- To elaborate education and training programs allowing people in need to learn a trade
-
To improve the health and wellbeing of the population
